I grew up in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago with the common midwestern dream of playing football at the University of Notre Dame. After getting my application rejected, I went to Indiana University in Bloomington to improve my grades and transfer to Notre Dame. After successfully transferring, I spent two seasons on the football team as a walk-on. After graduating, I went to work for my family’s small business. Once learning the ropes from my father, I took on a new challenge and went to work on the legislative staff for Congressman Cardenas. While working for Congressman Cardenas, I authored four legislative bills addressing increasing American worker mobility and protecting collegiate athletes.
